We are glad to inform that the report from the wargaming “Hegemon Baltic Campaign” with participation of Philip M. Breedlove will be presented during the conference Baltic Sea Security 2017 organised by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation. The conference aims at providing a platform for discussion on security and defence cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. The Pulaski Foundation together with the Potomac Foundation organized the first joint war game “Baltic Security Scenario” based on the computer platform Hegemon. We are pleased to inform that on June 21st in Warsaw the Pulaski Foundation is organising the third seminar in the series about technological solutions and combative capabilities of conventional submarines offered to Poland within the framework of “Orka” program. The conclusions that will be drawn from the meeting, are going to be published in a form of a policy paper and delivered to the decision-making centers and Polish Armed Forces. Naval cruise missiles are not only a weapon, but also an element of strategic deterrence. Conclusions from the second seminar on the ‘Orka’ Programme.

One of main conclusions from the 18th May Seminar organized by the Pulaski Foundation  is that ‘Cruise Missiles are not only a weapon but also an element of strategic deterrence’. The experiences of the French Navy within the scope of submarine use and key elements of DCNS offer to the Polish procurement programme of conventional submarines were presented during the Thursday’s Seminar. Border traffic and deficiencies in infrastructure are the main obstacles for economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine – Industrial Defence & Energy Summit came to an end

“Obstacles on Polish-Ukrainian border and lack of appropriate logistic base are making cooperation between both states difficult” – noticed Secretary of State Jerzy Kwieciński at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Poland during the “Industrial Defence & Energy Summit. Europe meets Ukraine 2017” (IDES17). Foreign fighters and threat of using weapons of mass destruction by terrorists: the main points of discussion with Guy Collyer

On March 31st Pulaski Foundation organized a seminar concerning potential threats from foreign fighters and terrorist organizations with Guy Collyerthe, head of the INTERPOL BioTerrorism Prevention Unit. In his presentation Guy Collyer discussed threats arising from engagement of European volunteers in ISIS units and presented studies conducted in Great Britain about factors that determine why previously indoctrinated people decide to organize attacks, most often suicidal. A significant danger coming from terrorists’ determination to obtain weapon of mass destruction. So far the security debate concerned mainly around chemicals weapons, in some way leaving out the usage of biological weapon. Submarines in the Germany Navy have strategic significance – conclusions from Triseminar

The triseminar’s goal is to present technological solutions and experiences of navies of NATO and EU countries that use conventional submarines. Each seminar is dedicated to experiences and systems used in third-countries – the seminar held on March 9th was about German Navy, the May one is going to be about French Navy, and the last seminar – which will be held in June – is going to touch upon Swedish Navy.
