The topic of the discussion was Russia and China’s rising assertiveness and confidence as geo-political actors with respect to energy. Michael Kimmage, Currently a professor of history at the Catholic University of America, from 2014 to 2016 served at the U.S. Department of State, where he worked on the Ukraine-Russia portfolio. The conference aims at providing a platform for discussion on security and defence cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region.
