I’m Francesco, a 26-year-old from Italy with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages and a recent Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies. My thesis explored the relationship between rebel groups and external sponsors through case studies on Afghanistan (1978–1989) and Ukraine (2014–2022). This September, I’ll begin a Master’s in War Studies at King’s College London.

My academic interests lie at the intersection of history, conflict studies, and political violence. I’m pursuing a career within national or international defence and security institutions.

Outside of academia, I’m an avid sports fan—especially basketball and football—and proudly support the teams from my hometown, Brescia. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, and reading.
