In 1999 he began his service in NATO structures. Until 2010, he was responsible for NATO’s media relations and public diplomacy. In 2010–2015, he was the director of the NATO Information Office in Moscow. Then, until February 2017, he was the acting director there. He later became Senior Advisor for Russia and the Western Balkans in the Public Diplomacy Department of NATO Headquarters in Brussels. In 2021, he ended his work in NATO structures.
