COMMENTARY: Trump Visit a Win for Polish Government

The President of the United States Donald Trump visited Warsaw, the capital of Poland, on Thursday, the president’s first trip to the Central-Eastern Europe (CEE) since his inauguration. The visit took place on the eve of the G20 summit. Choosing Poland as his first stop was not a coincidence and is closely related to the foreign policy goals of the administration. Rising tension in South-East Asia, New Zealand’s Perspective

The Casimir Pulaski Foundation hosted  a roundtable discussion with special guest Professor Emeritus Roberto Rabel, Senior International Adviser at the Centre for Strategic Studies concerning the balance of power in South East Asia.  A panel of experts of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and representatives of various actors from the Asia-Pacific  region  took part in this deliberation. Iraq on the way to stabilisation. A chance for developing Polish-Iraqi economic cooperation

On January 16, 2016 the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, in cooperation with the  Embassy of Iraq in Warsaw, organised a debate entitled “Iraq on a war with terrorism”. Discussion on the policy of Western countries towards armed conflicts at the Warsaw Security Forum 2016

Armed conflicts in today’s world were one of the main themes at this year’s edition of the Warsaw Security Forum. The pannel titled „Charting the right course in conflict zones – new strategies or smarter politics?” opened a discussion on the possible directions in the policy of Western countries toward the war-torn regions. On 25th of November 2016 Casimir Pulaski Foundation hosted a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Dr Ibrahim Al-Eshaiker Al-Jaafari organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and the European Academy of Diplomacy. “We want the NATO to adapt toward 360° approach” – ministers of defence and of foreign affairs about the NATO and international security during the Warsaw Security Forum.

Baltic Sea States have common goals but look in different directions

On July 9, 2016 Casimir Pulaski Foundation organised the Baltic Sea Security Conference. An important task of the conference was to provide a platform for discussion on the security in the Baltic Sea region and to assess the potential of cooperation between navies of various countries. “Key thing in this perspective should be the choice of appropriate equipment, which the Baltic Sea states should possess” – said Zbigniew Pisarski, the President of the Foundation. “Poland is currently implementing a modernization programme of the Navy.
