The Warsaw Security Forum officially opened the 2026 season with the WSF New Year’s Reception, bringing together senior representatives of the Polish government, diplomatic corps, armed forces, and long-standing partners of the Forum.

During the event, Norway was officially announced as the Partner Nation of the Warsaw Security Forum 2026, marking a key milestone in the preparations for the forthcoming edition of one of Europe’s leading security conferences. The occasion also served to officially reveal the dates of WSF 2026, which will take place on 12-13 October 2026.

The reception served both as a moment of reflection on the outcomes of the previous edition of the Forum and as a forward-looking discussion on strategic priorities for the year ahead.

Opening the WSF Year

Opening remarks were delivered by Władysław Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, who underlined the importance of close cooperation with the Warsaw Security Forum as a platform for dialogue between government, allied partners, and the expert community, as well as its role in shaping strategic debate on European and transatlantic security.

Zbigniew Pisarski, President of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, reflected on the Foundation’s 20th anniversary and its evolution as the organiser of the Warsaw Security Forum. A strategic overview of the Forum’s trajectory was presented by Katarzyna Pisarska, Chair of the Warsaw Security Forum, who outlined the conceptual framework guiding the forthcoming 2026 edition.
