Wojciech Dzięgiel
Resident Senior Fellow
Mr. Wojciech Dzięgiel is a Member of the Board of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.
He is a lawyer by training, having specialized in Public International Law and has graduated from the Hague Academy of International Law (2002) and Utrecht University (2003).
Still as a student he has pursue his engagement with diplomacy becoming member of the Polish Forum of Young Diplomats (2003) and graduating with distinction from the first edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats (2005). He is the Alumni of the Year Award recipient for the 2018 from the European Academy of Diplomacy.
After graduating from law school Mr. Dziegiel joined the state public administration and later had been admitted to the National School of Public Administration (2005-2006). Mr. Dzięgiel is a career diplomat and has previously worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland (2006-2015). His postings included Toronto, Canada (2006-2011) and Dublin, Ireland (2011-2015).
He had worked for the Pulaski Foundation from 2015 until 2019 being Member of the Board and the Executive Director of the Warsaw Security Forum. After his time at the Foundation he had been working for the state-owned companies and agencies.
He is a senior fellow at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and long-time trainer at the European Academy of Diplomacy. As a strong advocate of more women voices in foreign policy, Mr. Dzięgiel was the initiator and later founding member of the Polish Chapter of Women in International Security (WIIS Poland).
He has taken the portfolio of transition and strategic development of the Foundation, its organisation and management scheme as well as developing the Energy and Resilience research program.
In recent years he has graduated from MBA program (2022) and has done the postgraduate studies on innovation economy at the Warsaw University (2017) and on ESG and sustainable finance at the Kozminski University (2023).
In his free time he likes biking, hiking and skiing in Polish mountains and taking his sons to explore Polish countryside after years of living abroad.
