Maciej Milczanowski PhD, Prof. of UR, Deputy Director of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Rzeszów.

Former soldier, graduate of the Military University of Land Forces in Zegrze, served as a platoon and company commander as well as in the battalion and brigade staff – 21BSP in Rzeszów. Participant in the UN mission on the Golan Heights 1997-98 (post commander No. 60) and the Coalition Forces in Iraq 2005-06 as Battle Captain. Historian – master’s degree studies at the National Defense Academy, doctoral studies at Jagiellonian University with a thesis on political propaganda using the name of Caesar during the power struggle of the second triumvirate, habilitation at Jagiellonian University with the main scientific achievement being the monograph: “The Art of Building Peace: Strategic Leadership as Exemplified by Phase IV of Operation Iraqi Freedom.” Author of five books and many scientific and popular science articles, over a hundred texts on the StratLider website. Hoover Institution fellow at Stanford University. Teacher at the Institute of Political Science, University of Rzeszów (previously worked at the Higher School of Computer Science in Rzeszów). Certified trainer in Prof. Zimbardo’s Heroic Imagination Project.
