Teodora Tea Ristevska

Dr. Teodora Tea Ristevska is a researcher and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana. She specializes in intelligence, counterterrorism, cybersecurity and migration, focusing on the intersection of national security and civil liberties, which formed the basis for her PhD in Defense Studies, which she completed in 2024.

Dr. Ristevska’s academic and professional experience spans interdisciplinary research and policy analysis. She has been working as a researcher at the University of Ljubljana since 2018. She has also been an adjunct research fellow at American University’s School of International Service in Washington, D.C. Previously, she worked as a junior researcher at the Think Tank Center for Research and Policy Making in Skopje on EU, Council of Europe and USAID funded projects on public governance, media and sustainable energy.

Her academic work includes publications and policy papers on European security, intelligence operations, crisis management, cybersecurity cooperation, bridging the gap between rigorous research and practical solutions to global security issues.
