We are glad to inform that Dr. Paweł Kowal joins Pulaski Foundation as Senior Fellow at Foreign Policy Programme.
Paweł Kowal is a graduate of Jagiellonian University, in 2011 he wrote his doctoral thesis at Institute of Political Studies of Polish Academy of Science. Expert in Polish Eastern Policy. Between 1998 and 2000 he worked at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister where he was the Director of Department of Foreign Affairs. From 2000 to 2001 he acted as the Director of Department of Cooperation with Foreign Countries and European integration of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2005 Kowal was chosen as a member of Polish Parliament. During his term he was the chairman of Culture and mass media committee and a member of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee (2005-2006). Between 2006 and 2007 he acted as the Secretary of State in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2000 Kowal was chosen as a member of European Parliament where he dealt with EU’s relations with countries formed after USSR collapse, it made him the chairman of EU-Ukraine Committee.
