On 11th July 2017 the Casimir Pulaski Foundation received an award “Think Tank Awards 2017” in category “Best EU International Affairs think tank”, which is awarded by British magazine “Prospect”. The award is given since year 2001 to honor the best organisations, which are being distinguished by important input in forming global trends and international policy. The committee evaluates i.a. real influence on public politics, and also the quality of conducted researches.

-The award is an honor to the whole Foundation’s team. It’s a proof that objective and independent analyses are necessary and valuable. We would like to inspire, create and act in fields of domestic and international security. We want Polish voice to be always present in expert debates. It is also encouragement for us to further work – underscored Zbigniew Pisarski, the President of the Board of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.

Organisers of the ranking honored the Foundation’s activity on East-European and global topics. They mentioned for example report about using 3D printing technology to product components to weapon of mass destruction. The jury underlined that very thoughtful and innovative attitude to conducted researches deserves for bigger attention from media and recognition from other countries. In category the best European think tank, the Pulaski Foundation took the first place before Carnagie Europe, Bonn International Center for Conversion and the European Council on Foreign Relations.

-Foundation puts a lot of pressure on publicising analytic activity to public sphere and increasing the discussion on state’s level. We are pursuing this goal throughout projects like Warsaw Security Forum, which is a platform for dialogue between government and military representatives as well as experts – underlined Wojciech Dzięgiel, Member of the Board of the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.

On behalf of the Foundation the reward was collected by Mr. Wojciech Burkiewicz, First Counselor of Polish Embassy in London.
