Representatives from the CPF at the MSPO 2020

Representatives from the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and the Warsaw Security Forum attended MSPO 2020 in Kielce which saw the UK as the Lead Nation and was successfully held despite COVID-19 pandemic.

The MSPO consists of various business meetings and negotiations among companies in the military and defence industry from all over the world. Numerous contracts are signed during the exhibition, therefore the MSPO is a representation of international cooperation in the field of defence and security. The Expo in Kielce is also the third largest exhibition in Europe after the Paris and London trade fairs. This year’s exhibition saw 185 companies from 15 countries participating at Targi Kielce.

The Exhibitions of the annually selected Lead Nation have been an integral part of the MSPO since 2004. The Lead Nation at MSPO 2020 was the United Kingdom which offered attendees the opportunity to visit the exhibitions of British security and defence companies for the second time at MSPO as the UK was also the Lead Nation in 2010. The UK’s delegation was led by Jeremy Quin, Minister for Defence Procurement, and Ben Moores, Director of UK Defence and Security Exports. Quin praised Poland’s resilience in successfully organizing MSPO 2020 and emphasised the UK’s commitment to Poland as a key strategic partner on the global stage.

The delegation from the Casimir Pulaski Foundation and the Warsaw Security Forum consisted of Mr. Zbigniew Pisarski (President of the Foundation) and Prof. Katarzyna Pisarska (Program Director of the Warsaw Security Forum). Our representatives met with many companies, such as: Lockheed (one of the largest companies in the aerospace, military support, security and technology industry), Leonardo (an Italian military company and the eighth largest defence contractor in the world based on 2018 revenues; moreover, Italy will be the Guest Country of WSF2021), BELL (a leading American aerospace manufacturer), Pol-Mare (a logistics company specializing in the transportation of strategic, military and dangerous goods), Kongsberg (international, knowledge-based group that supplies high-technology systems and solutions to customers engaged in the oil and gas industry) and Patria (provider of defence, security and aviation life-cycle support services and technology solutions).

The purpose of the meetings was to discuss cooperation within the framework of our organization of the Warsaw Security Forum 2021 and events related to the Road to WSF. We hope that in the near future we will be able to present you with the outcome of these talks, therefore we encourage you to follow us on our website and social media.
