Malwina Talik
Malwina Talik is a Research Associate at the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (Vienna) and a freelance political analyst cooperating with various institutions in Central Europe. She previously worked at the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Embassy in Vienna.
Specializations:
– Democratization and democratic resilience
– Migration and asylum in Central Europe (with a focus on instrumentalized migration)
– Gender equality
– Current developments in Central and Eastern Europe (particularly Austria and Poland)
Malwina holds a joint M.A. degree in Global Studies and Global History from the University of Leipzig and the University of Vienna. She has completed exchange semesters at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary) and Fudan University (Shanghai, China), as well as a research internship on foreign direct investment in Ethiopia at the EU Delegation in Addis Ababa. Malwina has further enhanced her expertise through summer programs in Peace Research and Democratic Resilience at the University of Oslo. She is also a former OSCE/UNODA Fellow for Peace and Security.
