The Pulaski Foundation organized a webinar on the hybrid warfare in the CEE region. Participants pointed out the diversity of hybrid threats, which are below the threshold of armed attack and are a serious challenge for security of Europe.
The webinar” The impact of hybrid warfare in the CEE region “ brought many experts from academia, the military, think tanks, journalists and experts from various countries from Europe, which shared the experience and points of view with each other. Three main speakers presented different aspects of hybrid warfare. They agreed that hybrid warfare may be conducted by using various tools.
Arthur de Liedekerke from Rasmussen Global focused on depicting information warfare conducted by Russians in Europe and beyond, when Anett Numa from Estonian Ministry of Defence stressed the role of cyberattack in cybersecurity in building defence against hybrid warfare. Last but not least Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven, former Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Poland brought closer the hybrid warfare conducted by Russia in Germany. Among other issues raised by participants there was a case of sabotage of Nord Stream 1 and 2 and the necessity to better protect critical infrastructure.
