Management during the energy crisis – a simulation of the Pulaski Foundation as a part of a project sponsored by the International Visegrad Fund

On 16th and 17th of January 2019 the Casimir Pulaski Foundation organised a simulation entitled “Energy Crisis Management Simulation”, focusing on the state level energy crisis management. 15 participants (from Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Ukraine) took part in the simulation which is being carried out as part of the project organised in cooperation with the International Visegrad Fund. Participants were divided into five teams representing individual countries. Each country had its own goals and national interests that had to be realised. Roundtable meeting “Strategy for the energy crisis communication” in Kiev

On the 2nd of July roundtable meeting titled “Strategy for the energy crisis communication” was held at the office of Hennadii Udovenko of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. It was the third workshop of the “Energy security and effective strategic communication of civil and governmental actors: V4+Ukraine” project, sponsored by the International Visegrad Fund. Experts from V4 and Ukraine discussed strategic communication in regard to energy security

On the 25th of April 2018 Casimir Pulaski Foundation hosted a roundtable discussion regarding Energy Security “Dialogue between civil and governmental actors on energy security”. During the event, experts from Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Poland presented results of interviews they have conveyed with decision-makers and stakeholders in their states in regard to communication on energy security. Clean Coal Technologies – unreal vision of rescuing Polish coal

Shock will await the Polish energy sector in the years to come, which can strongly affect the public opinion. Rescue plan for the Polish mining sector based on clean coal technologies is a slogan which has nothing to do with the current  financial and technical capabilities. ‘Behind the cyber attacks stand modern systems and the huge amounts of money – with that scale of the threat, Poland has no possibilities to deal with them.’

The risk of attack on critical infrastructure, including power stations and energy networks has so far been underestimated. This was shown in the lack of cooperation of the particular institutions, the low awareness of the threat and small funds allocated for security program. Poland, as well as most European countries, do not protect their critical infrastructure sufficiently – concluded panelists participating in “Cybersecurity of the energy sector” conference organized by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation. Polish-Chinese cooperation – the subject of the second meeting of the cycle „China – new power!”

The economic cooperation between Poland and China was the subject of the second meeting of the cycle “China – new power”.
